The Two-spotted Cricket does not occur naturally in Norway, but is regularly introduced for sale in pet shops. It is dark brown to shiny black, with two pale spots at the base of the fore wings. The species is native to Southern Europe and Africa. It occurs in various grass- and scrubland habitats. The song is very strong and is reminiscent of bird chirping.
