The Large Marsh Grasshopper is one of the largest and most colourful Norwegian grasshoppers. The body is usually olive green to yellowish green, or may be strongly reddish. The species occurs in moist habitats such as marshes, riversides, moist meadows and on ocean beaches. The species is quite tolerant, and it is widely distributed north to northern parts of Nordland County.
